Tile roof repair - the underlayment is the roof
Barrel tile and flat concrete tile are the signature Miami roofing system, and they have a specific quirk many homeowners don't realize: the tiles themselves are not the waterproofing layer. The underlayment beneath the tile is the actual water barrier. The tile above it shields the underlayment from UV and impact and channels bulk water away.
That means a cracked or slipped tile is not just a cosmetic problem - it exposes the underlayment to sun, and once the underlayment fails, water enters the roof system. Our tile roof repair practice focuses on restoring both layers: matching and resetting damaged tile and repairing or replacing the underlayment beneath it. Anything less is a cosmetic patch that leaks again by the next season.
