Questions we hear

Everything homeowners ask us, answered plainly.

01How do you find the source of a roof leak?+

We work backward from the interior evidence. Water travels along rafters, decking, and framing, so the stain rarely sits directly beneath the failure. We combine attic inspection, surface inspection, and moisture indicators to trace it.

02Can the source of a leak be far from the ceiling stain?+

Yes - often several feet away, occasionally more. That's why leak detection matters before repair.

03Can a roof leak be repaired during rainy weather?+

A permanent repair usually needs dry conditions. In active weather we may apply temporary protection to limit damage until a full repair is possible.

04How long does a roof inspection take?+

For a typical single-family roof, plan on 45–90 minutes depending on access and complexity.

05How long does a roof repair take?+

Most localized repairs are completed in a single day. Larger repairs - multiple areas, extensive underlayment work - may span two or three.

06Can broken roof tiles be repaired?+

Frequently, yes. Individual tiles can be replaced and matched, and the underlayment beneath can be addressed without a full replacement in many cases.

07Can a flat roof be repaired without replacing the entire roof?+

Often. Flat-roof failures are typically localized - a seam, a penetration, a small membrane defect - and can be addressed without touching the rest of the field.

08How do I know whether I need a repair or replacement?+

It depends on roof age, material condition, extent of damage, and prior repairs. We recommend the most reasonable option based on what we find - not a default upsell.

09Should I file an insurance claim?+

For storm-related damage, an insurance claim may be appropriate. We provide the documentation you need; the decision to file is yours.

10What information should I provide when requesting service?+

The clearer, the better: where you're seeing the damage, when you first noticed it, whether water is actively entering, and photos if you can take them safely.

11Can I send photos or videos of the damage?+

Yes - please do. It helps us prepare for the inspection and, in some cases, gives us useful context before we arrive.

12What happens after the inspection?+

You get a written summary with photos, findings, and repair recommendations. From there, the decision is yours.

13Will a roof repair stop every future leak?+

A repair addresses the specific failure we identified. Other areas of the roof may fail in the future - which is why we recommend inspection intervals.

14What roofing areas do you inspect?+

Every slope, valley, ridge, penetration, and flashing detail on the accessible portion of the roof - plus interior and attic evidence where possible.

15Do you provide emergency roof repair?+

Yes. If water is actively entering the home, use our emergency pathway or call us directly.
